Welcome to Love Lane Pre-School, a small, friendly pre-school located in the heart of Shaw-Cum-Donnington, Newbury. We are a registered charity committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care to children aged 2, 3, and 4 years old. Our team of dedicated and experienced staff strive to create a nurturing and engaging environment that fosters a love of learning, creativity, and exploration in every child.

We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that encourages children to learn through play, explore their imagination, and build strong relationships with their peers and educators.
Our Services
At Love Lane Pre-School, we offer a range of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our families. Our sessional care and education program operates five mornings a week, from 8:30 am to 11:30 am, at Shaw-Cum-Donnington Village Hall. We also offer extended hours at Shaw-Cum-Donnington Primary School for children who require additional care. Our services include:
- Funded and non-funded places for 2, 3, and 4-year-olds
- 30-hour childcare program for eligible families
- Qualified and experienced staff
- A wide range of activities, including outdoor and physical play, sand and water play, modelling, painting, drawing, role play, puzzles, and computer access
- Regular communication with parents and carers to ensure a collaborative approach to your child's development
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children
Our Team
Our team of dedicated and experienced staff are passionate about providing high-quality early childhood education and care. Our staff include a Manager, two qualified assistants, and a number of bank staff who work closely with the children to provide a range of activities and experiences. Our team is committed to ongoing professional development, ensuring that we stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in early childhood education.
Our Community
At Love Lane Pre-School, we believe that building strong relationships with our families and the local community is essential to our success. We encourage parents and carers to become involved in our pre-school, whether through volunteering, attending events, or joining our committee. We are proud to be part of the West Berkshire Lottery, which supports local good causes and provides opportunities for us to raise valuable funds for our pre-school.
