The Lowy Group: Our Story

The Lowy Group's journey began in 1972 when our Chairman and founder, Peter Lowy, acquired the Vienna Hotel in London's Maida Vale. This single hotel operation grew over four decades into a prominent hotel and leisure group with a diverse portfolio of hotels and travel services. In 2009, the Group adopted its current name to reflect its rich history and its evolving business activities.

Hotels

The Lowy Group has established itself as a leading hotel operator in London and Brighton. Our journey began with the acquisition of the Umi London, Bayswater, and Burns Hotel, Earls Court. The Group expanded its presence in the UK's capital with the purchase of the Kings Hotel in Brighton in 2000. Over the next four years, we added three more hotels in Brighton, making us one of the most prominent hotel operators in the city.

Living Rooms

Living Rooms, founded by the Group in the mid-90s, provides an alternative to traditional hotel accommodation. Our properties combine the luxury and services of a hotel with the privacy and space of a home. Our offerings cater to the needs of the modern traveller who seeks comfort, privacy, and convenience.

Anglo Educational & Access Accommodation

Anglo Educational Services and Access Accommodation are the Group's housing and support services for the education sector and youth markets. Anglo Educational Services' Study Centre, based in Bloomsbury, London, provides American university groups with accommodation and academic support during their semester programmes in the UK. Access Accommodation is a leading housing provider for language schools and offers affordable accommodation in London.
