Welcome to Five Cake Shop, an alternative cake shop like no other, located in the heart of Garston, Liverpool. For five generations, our family has been passionate about baking, and we're proud to continue this tradition with our unique and artisanal approach to cakes, bakes, and coffees. Our cake shop is more than just a place to grab a quick treat; it's a safe, non-judgemental space for anybody who needs it, offering a welcoming atmosphere for all genders and the LGBTQ+ community.
Our Story
Our journey began in 2008, when our founder, Braidy, started baking as a way to feel close to her late mother, who was a keen baker and cake decorator. As she delved deeper into her family history, she discovered that her great-great-grandfather was a miller, her great-grandfather was a baker confectioner, and her grandfather was also a baker! With this rich heritage, it was only fitting to name the shop Five, and we're proud to be the fifth generation of bakers in our family.
