Our Story
Department of Coffee and Social Affairs is a leading coffee company in the United Kingdom, with a passion for sourcing the best single estate coffees from around the world. Our journey began in late 2010, when we opened our first shop on London's iconic Leather Lane Market. Since then, we have been recognised on multiple occasions as the leading coffee company in the UK, most recently in 2019. Our love and enthusiasm for quality coffee drive us to provide new coffee experiences for our customers, and we take great pride in perfecting our craft.
What We Are About
At Department of Coffee and Social Affairs, we believe in celebrating every step of the crop to cup journey. We source the best single estate coffees from various regions around the world, including Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Zambia, Colombia, and Guatemala. We have acquired the individual crops of over 200 single estate farms, ensuring that every cup of coffee we serve is of the highest quality. Our experienced team takes great care in perfecting our craft, from sourcing to roasting, to ensure that every cup of coffee is a delight to the senses.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to our customers, including a subscription service that allows them to explore the various coffee growing regions around the world. Our Coffee Club gives customers access to some of the world's best coffees, hand-picked by our Master Roaster. Each month, we deliver a new coffee of the month, shipped directly to our customers' homes or businesses. We also offer a bespoke grind service, allowing customers to choose their preferred grind type.
In addition to our subscription service, we also have a range of coffees available for purchase in our online shop. Our coffees are available in various grind types, including whole bean, cafetiere, filter, and aeropress/stovetop espresso. We also offer a range of accessories, including coffee-making equipment and merchandise.
Our London Cafe
Our flagship cafe is located on Carnaby Street in London, where we offer a unique coffee experience to our customers. Our expert baristas take great care in crafting every cup of coffee, ensuring that every visit is a memorable one. We also offer a range of food and snacks, perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch on-the-go.
