Our beautifully restored Parsonage Farm, located on the edge of the village of Wethersfield in Essex, provides the perfect setting for a variety of occasions. Our main barn and suites overlook idyllic peaceful countryside, making it an ideal location for weddings, private parties, special birthdays, and anniversaries.
Our Story
Wethersfield has been home to our founders, Mick and Fiona, for many years. With their background in designing beautiful homes and businesses, they saw an opportunity to restore Parsonage Farm and create their own dream home and business. After refurbishing the barns in 2017/18, The Hare's Field was launched in 2019, named after Fiona's love of hares that can often be spotted in the local countryside. With their passion for design, music, and hospitality, Mick and Fiona have created a unique venue that exudes charm and character.
Our Services
We offer a range of services to make your stay or event with us truly unforgettable. Our main barn is a versatile venue that can accommodate up to 60 guests, making it an ideal location for intimate weddings, private parties, and special occasions. The barn has a wedding license, and we have a list of carefully chosen wedding partners who can help you design your special day. Our accommodation suites include 8 spacious double bedrooms, each with a contemporary design and en-suite shower room.
When not being used for a wedding, the main barn is a super space to gather and relax, equipped with 2 lounges, free Wi-Fi, TV, table tennis, an extensive kitchen, and dining area. We also offer a range of entertainment options, including a multi-zone music system, excellent soundproofing, and a top-notch Wi-Fi system.
