At Deborah Lister Academy of Dance, we offer a wide range of dance classes for children of all ages in our own studio in St Helens, Merseyside. We provide a supportive, friendly environment for our pupils to develop their skills and confidence, with a focus on achieving the very best from each individual, regardless of their ability, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. All classes are designed to encourage confidence, performance, and a love of dance.
Our History and Experience
Established in 1999, we have been teaching dance classes for kids in St Helens for over 20 years. Our experienced and qualified teachers are dedicated to providing a high-quality education in dance, with a focus on technique, performance, and enjoyment. We pride ourselves on our friendly and supportive approach, which has earned us a reputation as one of the leading dance schools in the region.
Our Services
We offer a wide range of dance classes, including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Acro, Contemporary, Commercial, Drama, and Musical Theatre. Our classes are designed to cater for children of all ages and abilities, from beginners to advanced learners. We also offer regular performances and shows, held every two years at the prestigious St Helens Theatre Royal, as well as performances at the Liverpool Empire Theatre and Brindley Theatre.
Our Studio
We have our own fantastic dance studio in a converted church in St Helens, which provides the perfect environment for our pupils to learn and develop their skills. Our studio is fully equipped with professional sound systems, mirrors, and sprung flooring, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for our pupils.
Our Teachers
Our teachers are highly experienced and qualified, with a passion for teaching and a dedication to helping our pupils achieve their full potential. Our principal, Deborah Clayton, is a highly respected and experienced dance teacher, with a wealth of knowledge and expertise in dance education.
