Growing a brighter future, one harvest at a time
The Smiths Farm Shop Story
More than 60 years ago, our family embarked on a journey to transform our farmland into a thriving business. It all began with a humble honesty box outside a gate, filled with our homegrown strawberries in the summer of 1958. This marked the beginning of our dedication to providing real, wholesome food. Our passion for quality produce and our desire to offer better food for our children drove us to expand our offerings to include potatoes in the winter and to become one of the first UK farms to import asparagus from the eastern Mediterranean countries.
As demand grew, so did our main farm enterprise. Our focus on seasonal produce led us to launch the shop, enabling us to work with other like-minded local food producers to offer an extensive range of products. Today, Smiths Farm Shop stands as a modern business with diverse product lines, rooted in our family heritage and core beliefs of providing the freshest, best-value produce, sourced seasonally and responsibly from British farmers and local businesses.
Our Products
At Smiths Farm Shop, we are committed to offering a wide variety of top-quality, fresh products throughout the year. We source our fruit and vegetables from leading British farmers across the country, ensuring our customers have access to the finest seasonal produce. Our product range extends beyond fresh produce, offering a selection of other fresh items, with a preference for local suppliers who share our commitment to quality and sustainability. Our bread is hand-baked in a local bakery, our milk comes from a nearby dairy farm, and some of our cakes are baked just across the road from us.
