Established in 1988, Palace of India is a small and friendly family-run traditional Bangladeshi Tandoori restaurant located in the heart of Farningham, Kent. Our head chef, Moina, has been preparing sumptuous dishes for over three decades, using only the finest ingredients to ensure that our customers enjoy a unique dining experience. All of our dishes are prepared and cooked from fresh, preserving the authentic flavours of Bangladeshi cuisine.
Our most popular dishes include the lamb shank bhuna, tandoori jinga bhuna, murgh shashlik masala, and of course, the chef's special chicken. However, if you require a dish that is not on our menu, please ask as we will always endeavour to meet your requirements. Our bar has an extensive wine menu for you to choose from and we stock a range of lagers such as Cobra, Bangla, and Kingfisher.
Dine-In Experience
We are delighted to announce that our indoor dining area will be open once again from 15th of November, 2021! We have implemented safety precautions, social distancing measures, and limited capacity restrictions to ensure that our customers can dine in safely and comfortably. We are currently unable to sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own. We only sell soft drinks, but we assure you that our dishes will more than make up for it.
Take-away and Delivery
If you prefer to dine at home, we offer take-away and delivery services within a 3-mile radius. You can now order online, making it even more convenient for you to enjoy our delicious dishes in the comfort of your own home.
Sunday Buffet
For those who can't get enough of our dishes, we offer a Sunday lunch buffet where you can eat as much as you like from a choice of between 12 and 13 dishes. It has proven to be a winner for many of our customers, and we're sure you'll love it too.
Free Home Delivery
We offer a free home delivery service (within a 4-mile radius) with a minimum order of 15.00. So, whether you're in Well Hill, Eynsford, Longfield DA3, Cudham TN14 or Swanley BR8, you can enjoy our delicious dishes without leaving the comfort of your home.

Value for Money
Several reviewers have expressed disappointment with the pricing of the restaurant, citing that the food quality does not justify the high cost. Carlos Garay-Negron notes that the entrees do not come with rice and that charging extra for it is unacceptable, especially considering the prices. Marie echoes this sentiment, stating that she paid $16.95 for a small bowl of butter chicken and no rice, and that there are better options available at a lower price.
Food Quality and Variety
While some reviewers have praised the food, others have had mixed experiences. Bismoy, for example, rates the Butter Chicken as one of the best he has had in Grand Rapids, but notes that the House Biryani lacks flavor. Jerry Berg found the food quality to be average, while Khaled Hussain and Matt Blodgett report poor food quality, with the latter experiencing a vegetarian dish containing chicken.
Service and Atmosphere
Several reviewers have complained about the service, with Khaled Hussain and Matt Blodgett citing poor English skills and dishonesty on the part of the servers. Jerry Berg reports feeling lied to about the lunch buffet, which was not available despite being advertised. On the other hand, Bismoy praises the staff, giving them a 9/10 rating.
