Handcrafted Metal Art & Jewelry in Sheffield
Established in 2014, Quirky Metals is a Sheffield-based workshop founded by Jim and Laura Stringer, graduates of Sheffield City Polytechnic's BA (Hons) Metalwork and Jewellery programme. With decades of combined experience in metal manufacturing and education, we specialise in handcrafted pewter, copper, steel, and silver pieces inspired by nature. Our work encompasses bespoke commissions, public art installations, and unique homeware, all created using traditional silversmithing techniques.

Recognised by The Worshipful Company of Pewterers for our innovative designs, we offer workshops for creating custom metalwork and sell through our online shop, Etsy, and galleries. Every item reflects our commitment to quality, individuality, and Sheffield's rich metalworking heritage.
