Our Story
Roger Platts, our founder and principal designer, has been passionate about horticulture since the age of 13. He formally trained in horticulture and went on to work on several nurseries in the UK and abroad. His interest in garden design and plant combinations led him to set up his own garden design business in 1989. Since then, Roger has developed an impressive track record of award-winning garden designs, including 8 Gold Medals, 3 Silver-Gilt Medals, and the coveted 'Best in Show' and 'People's Choice Award' at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Specifically, they were in search of screen hedging and after visiting the store and speaking with Shane, they decided on Portuguese Laurel. Although the plants were more expensive than they had wanted to pay, the author notes that they had been well cared for during the summer months, and they took delivery about four weeks ago.
