Playdays Nursery

At Playday's Nursery, we are committed to providing a stimulating and nurturing environment for children from 3 months to school age. Our 32-place nursery is located in Knighton, Powys, and is spread across three rooms: Daisy, Bluebell, and Sunflower. We are an inclusive setting, and our aim is to provide the very best childcare, enabling children to become independent, empowered, and creative, while developing a deep love of learning and education.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be child-centred, with enabling adults and environments that support the growth and well-being of the children. We are CIW & Estyn regulated, and we are eligible to offer the Childcare Offer For Wales funding and also Shropshire Funding. We follow the curriculum for Wales, with elements of In the moment planning and following children's interests, while also helping to assist children in meeting developmental milestones.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services to support the development of your child. Our cook provides freshly cooked mid-day lunches daily, and we cater for any specific dietary requirements. Our staff are trained on allergies and allergic reactions, and we have a flexible timetable that is tailored to the child's needs. We also have a beautiful outdoor garden area, which includes an outdoor play house, mud kitchen, sand and planting areas, sensory boards, and much more.

Our Rooms

Our nursery is designed to provide a stimulating and welcoming environment for your child. Downstairs, we have a large play room, conservatory/dining area, messy play ballpool, and soft play area. We also have a large outdoor area with free access for the children to explore and play. Upstairs, we have a baby room, nappy changing area/toilets, and a sleep room.

Our Commitment

At Playday's Nursery, we are committed to providing a high-quality service that meets the needs of your child. We are CSSIW registered, and we have a quality of care report every 12 months. We are also an inclusive nursery, and we strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for all children.
