Our heritage:

Henry Morgan Opticians has a long-standing and proud history of providing top-quality professional eye care in Highams Park since 1931. Our founder, Henry Morgan, served a five-year apprenticeship with Batemans Opticians in the City and pursued further studies at night school. In 1929, he successfully achieved his professional qualifications, marking the beginning of a legacy that continues to this day.

Philip Morgan, our current Principal Optometrist, joined the practice in 1979 and has since committed to upholding and elevating the highest professional standards of service and clinical skills based on the Practice's foundation stones. Under his leadership, the practice relocated to its present premises on The Avenue in 1984, to cater to the growing demand generated by our forward-thinking approach. In 1997 and 2004, the practice underwent significant refurbishment and reinvestments, which led to the establishment of our state-of-the-art, ultra-high-tech facility that provides cutting-edge eye care for the new millennium.

a. Orthokeratology: This involves the overnight wear of cornea-reshaping rigid gas-permeable lenses, which can help correct myopia up to -5.50 dioptres and moderate astigmatism.

b. MiSight daily disposable contact lenses: Suitable for prescriptions up to -6.00 dioptres and minimal astigmatism, these innovative contact lenses help control myopia progression while providing clear vision.

c. MiYoSMART spectacle lenses with D.I.M.S. Technology: Featuring cutting-edge non-invasive technology, these spectacle lenses are suitable for prescriptions up to -10.00 dioptres, providing an effective myopia management solution for those who prefer glasses.
