In addition to our individual lessons, we are also an official Trinity College exam centre. We host music exams in our studio on a monthly basis, consistently achieving excellent results. Whether you're looking to take music exams or learn an instrument for pleasure, we have a space for you.

Our Values

Our founder, Louise, started the school with the aim of providing professional, affordable music tuition to people from all walks of life. This remains our core value today, as we continue to provide high-quality lessons at affordable prices.

Our Story

Sweet Symphony was founded in 2006 by Louise, who had a passion for music and a desire to share it with others. The school started as a small network of students, with Louise travelling from home to home for lessons in addition to her job as a peripatetic music teacher for Sunderland Local Authority.

Over the years, the school grew rapidly, and in 2014, Louise decided to find a permanent home for Sweet Symphony. Today, we have over 400 students each week and offer lessons in a wide range of instruments. We take pride in our annual Christmas concert, which has become a beloved tradition for our students and their families.
