Robin Maycock Butchers and Bakers is a family-run business that has been in operation for over 170 years. Established in 1850 by Thomas Walker, the shop has been managed by five generations of the Walker family, with Robin Maycock and his wife Glynis taking over in 1977. The business has built a reputation for its excellent quality, personal service, and good value.
Our Services
At Robin Maycock Butchers and Bakers, we pride ourselves on the quality of our products. We are one of the few remaining butchers in the country that has complete control of our produce from farm to plate. Our beef, lamb, and pork are locally sourced from Derbyshire farms, and our meat is prepared in our own licensed abattoir at the rear of the shop. We also offer a range of homemade sausages, cooked meats, and baked goods.
Our bakery team, led by Emily Maycock, produces a dazzling array of delicious cakes, home-cooked ready meals, and a variety of sweet and savory pastries. Our baked goods are made using traditional recipes and high-quality ingredients. We also offer a range of homemade bread and freshly baked treats.

Over the years, Robin Maycock Butchers and Bakers have won numerous awards for our products. We are proud to have won a hat-trick of awards at the 2016 NFMFT National Meat Products Competition in the categories of Scotch Egg, Pasty, and Chicken Vol au Vent.

Our Opening Times
We are open Monday to Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with extended hours on Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. We are proud to offer a free delivery service within a 5-mile radius and have a fantastic loyalty card scheme.
