Our Network
Our established network of logistics partners across the UK provides groupage, express, part load, and full load services. Our fleet of tracked and managed vehicles is equipped with state-of-the-art communication systems, allowing us to update customers dynamically as we process their goods. Our central depot is strategically located just 6 miles from the UK Channel Tunnel terminal, making us only 65 minutes away from the European mainland motorway network.
Our Story
Freight 44 was founded in 2010 by Richard Chappell, and the company name has a special significance. The '44' is a nod to Richard's father, Bob, who was born in 1944 and sadly passed away the year before the company was formed. It's also a nod to the UK's international dialling code, making it a fitting tribute to our origins.
