Our Historic Cottage
Our Grade II Listed cottage is a true gem of the Kentish Weald, boasting original features such as cruck frames, local clay peg tiles, exposed beams, inglenook fireplaces, and original wattle and daub walls. The cottage is situated in a tranquil setting, surrounded by apple orchards and offering breathtaking views of the Furnace Pond, Horsmonden, and Goudhurst. Our guests can unwind in the peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by nature and steeped in history.
Accommodation
We offer two beautifully furnished rooms, each sympathetically modernised to maintain the charm and character of the cottage. Our Willowpit Garden Room is located on the ground floor, perfect for guests with mobility needs, and features a 6' 6 super king bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower. Our Furnace Pond Room is situated on the first floor, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside and featuring a super king-size bed and a large en-suite shower room. Both rooms are equipped with a range of modern amenities, including hospitality trays, luxury towel bathrobes, and flat-screen TVs with Freeview.
Breakfast
Start your day with a delicious breakfast served in our heavily beamed dining room. We offer a range of traditional, continental, and healthy options, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. Our homemade preserves are a particular favourite among our guests. In the cooler months, log fires burn brightly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. In the spring and summer, our beautiful garden is the perfect spot to enjoy your breakfast.
Booking and Location
We are conveniently located near Tunbridge Wells, with easy access to the A21 and M25 motorways. Our online booking system allows you to book your stay safely and securely, and we offer a minimum stay of two nights.
