Here at the Jolly Brewers Free House Inn, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional accommodation and services to our guests. Our family-run hotel is situated in a quiet location, just outside Bishops Stortford town centre, and is within easy walking distance of the train station, shops, leisure centre, river, and the town's night life.
Our Services
Our hotel part is in a separate building adjoining the pub and was built in 2007 to a very high modern standard with accommodation providing twin/ double bed rooms with wc, wash hand basin, and shower en suite, or with large en suite bathroom. Each room is furnished with a wardrobe, desk, and bedside cabinets and has: T.V., tea/coffee making facilities, and internet access. We can also provide hair dryers, iron and ironing board, fax and photocopying services, shoe cleaning equipment, and daily newspapers. You can park your car immediately outside your room, and can come and go whenever you please.
We offer a range of services to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible, including late or early arrivals and departures, English breakfast or other food by special arrangement, and transfers to/from Stansted Airport. We can also provide long stay car parking while you are away. Our location gives you easy access to local tourist attractions in Hertfordshire, Essex, and Cambridgeshire, and to London (40 min by train), Cambridge University City, (35 mins drive) and Newmarket.
Location
Our hotel is conveniently located near Stansted Airport, but not under the flight path, making it an ideal choice for those with early morning flights or late arrivals. We are also close to major roads M11, A10, and A120, and within walking distance of the River Stort Waterway. We can arrange transfers to/from Stansted Airport, and provide long stay car parking while you are away.
Things to Do
Our location makes it easy to explore the surrounding area, with many local attractions within easy reach. These include Audley End, Duxford War Museum, Newmarket Races, and many other local attractions. We can also book sports and leisure facilities, and golf courses for you.
