Expert Swimming Lessons for Babies and Children
Established in 2003 by Laura and George Molloy, Swimbabes Lessons was founded on the transformative experience of teaching their son to swim. After training as baby swim instructors, we launched our first classes in Huddersfield with just 11 swimmers. Over two decades, we've expanded across Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, serving over 1,800 weekly participants through our Swimbabes Lessons (0-4 years) and Swimstars (4-10 years) programmes. Our qualified instructors deliver nationally recognised STA Awards in warm, child-friendly pools, supported by purpose-built facilities and an online portal for seamless lesson management. With a dedicated team and office managers since 2007, we combine expertise with a playful approach to water safety and confidence-building.

Baby Swimming Lessons
Our Swimbabes Lessons programme for 0-4 year olds focuses on water confidence and safety through play-based learning. Qualified instructors use warm pools and small class sizes to create positive early experiences. Sessions develop submersion skills, buoyancy awareness and parent-child bonding in a structured yet playful environment.
Children's Swimming Lessons
Swimstars classes for 4-10 year olds follow STA Awards frameworks to build technical swimming skills. Our progressive programme takes children from first strokes to confident swimming, with focus on stroke development, water safety and endurance in age-appropriate group settings.
Photoshoots
Professional underwater photography sessions capture swimming milestones with Starfish Photography experts. Bookable after 10 weeks of lessons, these half-hour sessions accommodate six swimmers with online galleries available for print orders starting at 35.
Online Parent Portal
The Soakly portal provides 24/7 access to lesson schedules, payment management and progress tracking. Parents can view awards, update medical details and receive real-time cancellation notifications while accessing venue navigation via integrated map links.
