Sarah has been playing keyboards since 1998, and has a deep understanding of the techniques required to excel in a variety of musical styles. Having studied music at College and University, Sarah recognised that there was a significant gap in the availability of professional-style Rock and Pop techniques for beginners. As a result, she has developed her own tutorials and sourced specially curated material to help students learn to play in a way that is both enjoyable and rewarding.

Piano and Keyboard Lessons

For beginners, there are the MicroJazz Studies which cover various styles, and for more advanced learners, there are Rockschool Studies.

Sarah is a strong believer in the importance of Aural Skills, and teaches these using Kodaly Techniques, providing a natural way of learning to hear music. She is currently studying towards becoming an Associate of the London College of Music, and is committed to continuing her own professional development in order to provide the best possible service to her students.

Sarah also offers Music Theory lessons to students who wish to deepen their understanding of music and improve their skills. These lessons are designed to be enjoyable and rewarding, and can be tailored to suit the individual needs and goals of each student.

Stave House Early Years Music Courses

The Stave House method is a unique and engaging way of teaching children to read, play and write music. It uses a series of creative characters to engage children, through storytelling and nursey rhymes. The Stave House teaching is progressive, suitable for children with little or no music exposure. The characters used represent the musical notes, and children are also taught to arrange the notes in their own liking, giving them exposure to music composing.

The Stave House method is designed for all musical instruments, and is accredited and certified by the London College of Music. Sarah A Hall (DipLCM)TD is a qualified Stave House teacher, and is able to provide lessons to young children using this innovative and effective method.
