Our Story

Audio Visual & Electrical Services was started by Mark McGlynn, an ex-Royal Air Force airfield technician with a keen eye for detail and a strong interest in emerging technologies. After ten years of service in the military, Mark moved into various civilian roles, including as a sound and lighting technician for a theatrical supplier and as a sales manager for conferencing equipment. In 2003, he set up Audio Visual and Electrical Services, with a particular focus on understanding how data projectors and interactive whiteboards could be used to support learning in schools and colleges.
