Dr Mandy & Associates is a reputable child clinical psychology practice specialising in providing high-quality psychological services for children, adolescents, and their families. Our practice is led by Dr Mandy Smiton, a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience in the NHS before moving to the private sector. Dr Mandy specialises in working with children and adolescents and their families and is committed to providing a high-quality clinical service that draws on a range of therapeutic approaches. Our team of associates includes Dr Harriet Bibbings, Dr Chris Reeve-Mates, Heather Moon Vogels, Elena Georgakopoulou, Dr Carly Carter, Dr Stavros Orfanos, Judith Ritchie, Dr Kinga Williams, and Dr Itamar Cohen.

Child Services

At Dr Mandy & Associates, we understand that every child is unique and therefore tailor our services to the individual child based on their needs, ability, and family circumstances. We offer two primary services, assessment, and therapy.

Assessment: A thorough initial child-centred assessment is carried out, and a detailed report is provided. Our assessment is comprehensive and covers all aspects of the child's development, including cognitive, emotional, behavioural, social, and adaptive functioning. We work closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the child's life to ensure a holistic understanding of the child's needs.

Therapy: We provide a high-quality clinical service that draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behaviour therapy, behavioural approaches, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, family therapy, and systemic approaches. We have extensive experience working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of psychological difficulties, including anxiety disorders, depression, anger, low self-esteem, Asperger's Syndrome, High-functioning Autism, ADHD, Tourette's Syndrome, and other Tic Disorders. We also work with younger children and their parents, helping with toileting, sleep, feeding, and behavioural difficulties.

Other Services

In addition to assessment and therapy, we offer other services that include regular school meetings and home visits as necessary. We work to ensure close links and communication with other professionals involved in the child's life, both NHS and independent sector, and in education. Dr Mandy supervises other psychologists and therapists, ensuring that they maintain high-quality clinical services that meet the needs of the children and families we serve.
