Stroud Community Acupuncture is a unique clinic that aims to make acupuncture accessible and affordable for all, regardless of income. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from this ancient and time-tested system of medicine. Our Services

At Stroud Community Acupuncture, we offer a range of services designed to help restore, promote and maintain good health. Our services are suitable for people of all ages, including babies and children, and are a fantastic way of maintaining the health and wellbeing of the whole family. Our team of experienced practitioners use ultra-fine needles at chosen points along the body's meridians to stimulate the body's own healing response and restore natural balance.

How Acupuncture Works

According to Chinese philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's life force energy, known as qi, moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels beneath the skin, known as meridians. When qi is unbalanced, illness may result. Acupuncture works to maintain the body's equilibrium by focusing on all aspects of wellbeing; physical, mental, and emotional. By stimulating the body's own healing response and restoring its natural balance, acupuncture can effectively treat a wide range of medical conditions.

What can Acupuncture do for me?

In recent years, there has been a growing body of evidence showing that acupuncture is effective at treating over 100 serious medical conditions. These include physical pain such as back problems, sports injuries, and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Acupuncture can also help to improve fertility and treat gastrointestinal tract disorders, including irritable bowel syndrome.

At Stroud Community Acupuncture, we offer a sliding scale of fees, ranging from 20 to 60, with the lower rate reserved for those on Universal Credits or ESA. We encourage those who are able to pay the higher rates to do so, as this allows us to provide treatments to those who can only afford the minimum. By making acupuncture accessible and affordable for all, we hope to help more people experience the benefits of this ancient and time-tested system of medicine.

If you are suffering from muscular and arthritic pain, headaches or migraines, menstrual problems or menopausal symptoms, digestive and gastrointestinal problems, stress and fatigue, sleep problems, or a poor immune system, book an appointment to see if acupuncture can help you. Our experienced practitioners will work with you to develop a treatment plan that focuses on the root of your condition, as well as your symptoms, with the aim of achieving a more permanent resolution of your problems.
