Joe Low

I am a freelance photographer based in Southampton, UK, specialising in architectural photography while also undertaking public relations, special events, tourism, and arts-related work. My background in fine art, with a first-class BA honours from Winchester School of Art, deeply influences my photographic approach, prioritising composition and timing. With over three decades of professional experience since my 1990 runner-up recognition in the Tectonic Architectural Photographer of the Year Award, I have built a substantial library of images capturing Southampton and Winchester. My work has been commissioned by prestigious clients including the NHS, BBC, Hampshire County Council, and Winchester Cathedral.

I maintain a dual focus on both commercial applications and artistic expression, having exhibited my photography and drawings in solo and joint exhibitions since the 1970s. My technical expertise combines traditional photographic skills with digital innovation to deliver high-quality visual solutions. I offer both reproduction rights for commercial use and premium Giclee prints for private or corporate display. My portfolio demonstrates consistent excellence through projects ranging from architectural documentation to cultural event coverage. Clients benefit from my ability to translate complex visual narratives into compelling imagery grounded in my artistic training and industry experience.
