Our School

Derwent Primary School is a rapidly expanding school with a rich history and a strong sense of community. Our recent building developments have enabled us to expand our facilities, including our new bespoke KS2 classrooms, design and technology room, music studio, and SEN provision room. We also have two nursery classes, Ladybirds for 3-year-olds and Caterpillars for 4-year-olds, where we introduce phonics from an early age to lay the foundation for future academic success.

Our Curriculum

We offer a range of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and humanities, as well as specialist subjects such as music, design and technology, and physical education. We also place a strong emphasis on phonics, literacy, and numeracy skills, which are essential for future academic success.

Our Facilities

Our school is well-equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, a design and technology room, a music studio, and a SEN provision room. We also have outdoor active play equipment, a forest school provision, and a marked area for netball, basketball, and 5-a-side football.
