LC Pilates Studio is a boutique fitness studio located in the heart of Hamilton, Scotland. Our mission is to provide a personalized approach to fitness and wellness, helping our clients achieve their individual goals and improve their overall quality of life.
Our Story
Founded in 2017 by Lisa Carswell, a classically trained ballet dancer with over 30 years of experience practicing Pilates and 10 years of teaching, our studio is dedicated to providing a unique and supportive environment for our clients. Lisa's extensive knowledge and expertise in Pilates and ballet inform her understanding of how the body moves, allowing her to develop a keen eye for proper body mechanics. This expertise enables her to teach clients new patterns of movement to help maintain fitness, alleviate/manage pain, or recover from injury or surgery.
Our Services
At LC Pilates Studio, we offer a range of services designed to cater to the individual needs of our clients. Our Pilates classes are tailored to focus on specific areas of the body, such as core strength, flexibility, and posture. We also offer Ballet Barre classes, which combine elements of ballet and Pilates to improve overall fitness and well-being. Before joining a Pilates class, we recommend booking an 'Intro to Pilates' one-to-one session. This session provides a basic understanding of the Pilates principles and exercises, as well as a postural assessment to help you understand your own body and get the most out of your classes.

What sets us apart from other fitness studios is our commitment to providing a personalized approach to fitness and wellness. Our small class sizes ensure that each client receives individualized attention and guidance, allowing us to tailor our instruction to meet their specific needs and goals. We specialize in correcting structural imbalances causing pain and dysfunction in the body, such as lower back pain, sore feet and/or knees, poor posture, general stiffness, as well as conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, hip/knee replacement, shoulder problems, sciatica, and hyper-mobility.
