Service and Quality of Work

However, many customers had negative experiences. Elton John Tribute Dean Torkington's mower had water in the fuel, which was supposed to be cleaned out, but the symptoms persisted. When he contacted Briggs & Son, they were defensive and uninterested in fixing the problem. Graham Davidson had his Mountfield for a month, but it stopped working after hitting grass, and the problem was not resolved even after taking it back to Briggs & Son. Dion Fryer's mower had a wrong belt, needed parts replacing, and bolts that hadn't been tightened properly, despite being told it was fully serviced. Gerard Rogan's strimmer developed a petrol leak and stopped running after repairs.

Customer Service and Communication

Elton John Tribute Dean Torkington was disappointed with the defensive attitude of Briggs & Son when he reported the problem with his mower. He felt that they were not interested in resolving the issue. Graham Davidson also had a bad experience with customer service, finding that standards were falling. Dion Fryer's experience led to them being laughed at by another shop when they mentioned where they bought the mower. Gerard Rogan was unhappy with the response to his strimmer problem.
