Our Story
Our journey began in 1972, when Alan and Sylvia, qualified gemmologists, opened their first shop in Guildford. With a wide experience of buying and selecting interesting and beautiful gemstones from all over the world, they created individual fine pieces of jewellery in gold and platinum. From a geological expedition to Spitsbergen in the Arctic to exhibiting at some of the best antiques fairs, our team has been dedicated to providing the best value for service, advice, and knowledge.
Our Services
At Orlando Jewellers, we offer a comprehensive jewellery service, including repairs and restorations, valuations, insurance claims, professional cleaning and polishing, design commissions, gem testing, and re-threading. Our team of highly skilled and talented award-winning jewellers can assist with any jewellery work you need undertaken. We can supply loose diamonds in whatever cut, carat weight, colour, and clarity you desire, as well as provide safety checks, valuations, threading, and re-threading, renovations, and redesigning.
Design and Restoration
Our designers can restore and repair much-loved pieces to their former glory or redesign using some of the same materials, perhaps to a more contemporary and wearable form. We also buy and sell antique pieces, and our team has exhibited at some of the best antiques fairs. Many of our pieces are designed by internationally known designers, and we travel the world looking for interesting and unique pieces.

The reviews for Orlando Jewellers are mixed, with some customers having positive experiences and others having disappointing ones.
The first reviewer, Janny, gave the jewellers a 1-star review and advised others to avoid them completely. She took a broken gold rope chain to them for repair, but after almost three weeks, there was no update on the status of the repair. The reviewer felt that the jewellers were unresponsive and unreliable.
On the other hand, some reviewers had excellent experiences with Orlando Jewellers. Graham Toogood and Joe Gauchi both gave the jewellers 5-star reviews, praising their excellent customer service and reasonable prices. Graham specifically mentioned that he wished all shops were like Orlando Jewellers, which do not sell junk from China.
Julia Simpson, another reviewer, has been a loyal customer for 12 years and has always received excellent customer service from Orlando Jewellers. She has purchased many lovely pieces of jewellery from them and receives compliments whenever she wears them.
However, Edward Jenkins had a terrible experience with Orlando Jewellers. He gave them a 1-star review and described it as "awful". He claimed that the jewellers charged him too much for repairs and then lost his possessions. He was left feeling angry and disappointed.
