We Care, We Share, We Value
Welcome to Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, a proud and happy school located in the town centre of St Helens. As a one form entry Catholic primary school, we serve a culturally diverse community of over 215 wonderful children from Nursery to Year 6. Our children, staff, parents, and parish community work together to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where Christ is at the centre of all that we do.
Our Vision and Values
At Holy Cross, we believe that every child is unique and special, and we strive to provide a supportive and nurturing environment that allows each child to flourish. Our vision is to promote Gospel values and British values, social, emotional and mental health, and wellbeing in all aspects of school life. Our values are rooted in our Catholic faith and are reflected in our ethos and pastoral care.

Our staff team is dedicated and enthusiastic, with a range of strengths and expertise. We have a senior leadership team, led by our Headteacher, Mrs Carol Gillespie, who is also our Designated Safeguarding Lead. We have a strong team of teaching and support staff, including teaching assistants, teachers, and senior leaders. Our school has excellent facilities, including modern classrooms, a sports hall, a playground, and a school hall. We also have a range of special facilities, including a nurture base, a food bank, and a school dog.

Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is built around the national curriculum and is designed to be broad and balanced. We offer a range of subjects, including English, maths, science, computing, and the arts. We also provide opportunities for our children to develop their spiritual, moral, social, and cultural understanding through our Religious Education and Catholic Life programme.
