East Dunbartonshire Association for Mental Health (EDAMH) is a local voluntary sector organisation and charity that provides community-based support services throughout East Dunbartonshire. Founded in 1999, we are committed to promoting the rights and enhancing the lifestyle of individuals affected by mental ill-health. We strive to provide easily accessible community-based services that support individuals in pursuing their recovery and improved mental wellbeing.

Our Purpose

Our core purpose is to promote the rights and enhance the lifestyle of individuals affected by mental ill-health through the provision of easily accessible community-based services. We aim to support individuals in leading the life they want to live, free from the constraints of mental illness.

Our Services

At EDAMH, we offer a range of services designed to support individuals in their recovery journey. Our services include:

  • Individual Support: One-to-one support for individuals affected by mental ill-health, providing a safe and confidential space to discuss their experiences and challenges.
  • Group Support: Group sessions where individuals can share their experiences, build connections, and develop coping strategies with others who are facing similar challenges.
  • Vocational Support: Practical assistance and guidance to help individuals develop their skills, confidence, and employability to achieve their career goals.
  • Male Specific Support: Support services tailored to address the unique challenges and needs of men affected by mental ill-health.
  • Cedar Project: A support group for women who have experienced domestic abuse, providing a safe space to share their experiences and receive support.
  • Violence Against Women Recovery Project: A project providing practical and emotional support to women who have experienced domestic abuse.

How You Can Access Our Services

We operate an open referral system, meaning you can refer yourself or be referred by another person or service. You can contact us through our website, phone, or in person. Our referral process is designed to be simple and convenient, and we strive to respond to all referrals within 48 hours.
