Our Mission
At Insight Counselling, our mission is to provide a safe, non-judgemental, and confidential space for individuals in Dundee and Angus to explore troubling past or present issues and options for the future. We are dedicated to delivering a generic counselling service that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, social economic status, ethnicity, or religion.
Our History
Founded in 1995 as the National Counselling Service, our organization was established to provide therapy in socially deprived areas of Dundee. Over the years, we have evolved and expanded our services to cater to the growing needs of the community. In 2007, we restructured and changed our name to Insight Counselling, becoming an independent charity that delivers a generic counselling service to individuals in Dundee and Angus.
Our Services
Our experienced and trained counsellors work with individuals from all walks of life, including children, young people, and adults starting from twelve years upwards. We offer a range of services, including:
- Counselling for adults and children
- Bereavement counselling
- Stress management
- Anxiety and depression support
- Phobias and trauma support
- Chronic pain management
- Self-harm and suicide prevention
