Skin and General Footcare
Taking care of your feet is an essential part of staying healthy and active, and it's often overlooked. Our experienced chiropodists/podiatrists can provide advice and treatment for common foot problems, such as hard skin, cracked heels, and skin infections. We understand that everyone's lifestyle is unique, and we tailor our treatments to address specific issues that may arise from your particular lifestyle.
We are trained to diagnose and treat a range of skin conditions, including:
- Hard skin/calluses: These areas of thick, hard skin can be yellowish and are generally found on pressure sites. We can physically remove this type of skin with the aid of a scalpel, and provide guidance on the types of footwear that may help reduce the future development of calluses.
- Cracked heels/skin: Cracked heels and skin are little splits in the skin that can occur in the area of the heel. We can provide advice on how to resolve this and recommend creams available from the surgery.
- Skin infections: Our chiropodists/podiatrists can diagnose and treat fungal infections, bacterial infections, verrucas, and cellulitis, which can start from the feet.
Nail Care
