Gluten-free but you wouldn't know it

Welcome to Niche, an independent casual dining restaurant located in the heart of Islington, London. Our story began in 2013, when our founders, Marc Warde and Adrian Morgan, set out to serve British food with a modern twist. What started as a passion project soon turned into a bold venture when Marc was diagnosed with Coeliac disease. Recognizing the difficulties of finding gluten-free dining options, we made the decision to revolutionize the restaurant scene by becoming London's first completely gluten-free restaurant.

Our Journey

Our focus on quality and freshness sets us apart from other restaurants. We take pride in preparing everything on-site, using local suppliers and seasonal ingredients. Our chefs craft dishes that are not only delicious but also allergy-friendly, catering to a wide range of dietary requirements. Our menu evolution was not without its challenges, as our founders were dedicated to creating food that not only tasted incredible but also aligned with their gluten-free lifestyle. Years of trial and error led to the development of a menu that is both gluten-free and utterly delightful.

Our Food

At Niche, we're proud to showcase the photographic work of London photographer, Matthew Burlem, throughout our restaurant and website. Our chefs skillfully combine seasonal ingredients with creativity, presenting dishes that delight the palate. From contemporary twists on classic British dishes to innovative desserts, every item on our menu is crafted with attention to detail. We cater to dairy-free and vegan diets, making us an inclusive and welcoming destination for all.

Our Commitment

As an independent restaurant, we recognize the importance of responsible booking practices. We rely on honored reservations and appreciate your understanding in regards to our no-show and late cancellation policies. To ensure a smooth dining experience for all, we kindly request that you notify us of any changes to your reservation, including last-minute cancellations. In unexpected situations, we apply a fee to cover the loss of revenue. Please visit our website for more detailed information on our booking policies.

Our Location

Find us in the vibrant neighborhood of Angel, Islington, just a stone's throw from Sadler's Wells Theatre. We're open Monday to Friday from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm, Saturday from 12:00 pm to 9:30 pm, and Sunday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (last orders). We await your visit and look forward to sharing our passion for gluten-free cuisine with you.
