School Life
The reviewer, Cherry Griffiths, rates the school 4 stars out of 5. She acknowledges that the school is "good" but believes it needs improvements. Her daughter, who is a student at the school, initially enjoyed her time there, particularly in reception. However, things changed when she entered year one, and she no longer looks forward to going to school. The reviewer attributes this change to a lack of creative play and time for art, as well as a focus on work over free play.
Classroom Environment
The reviewer expresses disappointment with the lack of free play in the classroom, stating that everything is work-focused, which is unsuitable for a 5-year-old. Her daughter would rather stay at home than attend school, which is a "big shame." The sudden withdrawal from swimming lessons was also a major letdown.
Teacher Turnover
The reviewer highlights the impact of the lack of a head teacher and the sudden departure of her daughter's teacher on the school's stability. The sudden withdrawal from swimming lessons was attributed to the former head teacher's poor decision-making.
Teacher Effort
Despite the challenges, the reviewer notes that the teachers work hard to keep the school running smoothly and are "fantastic." She acknowledges that the removal of the former head teacher was a step in the right direction.
