Established for over 70 years, Wembley Sailing Club is a vibrant and lively club located on the Welsh Harp (Brent Reservoir). Our club is situated in northwest London, with over 100 acres of open water, making it an ideal location for sailing enthusiasts. With a passionate membership who race all year round and an outstanding RYA Training Centre, we offer expert tuition for complete beginners to advanced racers.
Our Services
At Wembley Sailing Club, we offer a range of services to cater to individuals of all skill levels. Our RYA Training Centre provides expert tuition for complete beginners to advanced racers, teaching the skills and techniques required to navigate the waters. We offer private tuition, group courses, and specialized courses for youth sailors. Our instructors are highly qualified and experienced, providing a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all participants.
RYA Training Courses
We offer a range of RYA training courses for individuals of all ages and skill levels. For beginners, we offer our RYA Level 1 course, which introduces participants to sailing and takes them to a point where they are comfortable with the basic techniques to sail around a short course. For those looking to improve their skills, we offer our RYA Level 2 course, which introduces more advanced techniques such as coming alongside a moored boat and picking up a man overboard.
Private Tuition and Group Courses
We offer private tuition for individuals or small groups, providing a more personalized and flexible learning experience. Our group courses are designed for up to 6 students, while our private tuition options cater to individuals or small groups. Our experienced instructors provide one-on-one instruction, ensuring a more personalized learning experience.
Youth Courses
We also offer a range of youth courses for children aged 7-18. Our junior courses are designed to introduce young sailors to the sport, teaching them basic sailing skills and techniques. Our courses are divided into age ranges, with our Young Sailors course suitable for 7-9-year-olds and our RYA Stage 1&2 course suitable for 9-year-olds and above.
Shore-Based Courses
We also offer shore-based courses, including first aid and online courses. Our first aid course is designed to teach individuals the skills required to provide basic first aid in a sailing environment. Our online courses are designed to provide individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to improve their sailing abilities.
