Brighton Podiatry is a distinguished biomechanics and gait analysis clinic located in the heart of Sussex, boasting 35 years of experience in the field. Our clinic is spearheaded by Helen Morrell, a highly skilled and specialised Musculoskeletal Podiatrist. At Brighton Podiatry, we are dedicated to providing effective solutions for lower limb pain that may be causing you distress, whether it is a recent issue or a long-standing problem.
Our comprehensive assessments of your lower limb function take into account your unique concerns and conditions, employing a variety of evaluation methods, including physical examinations, treadmill gait analysis, foot pressure analysis, and thorough questioning. Based on our findings, we offer tailored orthoses (special shoe insoles) that address the root cause of your pain, allowing you to enjoy your daily activities without discomfort.

Assessment and Treatment Options
At Brighton Podiatry, we offer two levels of assessments to cater to your unique needs:
- Standard Consultation: Ideal for individuals who engage in normal everyday walking and light sports activity, this assessment includes a one-hour consultation, static and dynamic lower limb function assessment, description or diagnosis of your problem, and one pair of temporary orthoses (if appropriate).
- Runners/High Intensity Sports Performers: Tailored for athletes and individuals engaged in high-intensity sports, this 90-minute consultation offers an in-depth assessment of your lower limb function and gait analysis, sports or running shoe advice, and a 30-minute review consultation to check your progress, which usually occurs 4-12 weeks after the initial consultation. Depending on your injuries or pain and treatment plan, we provide a range of orthoses that cater to your specific needs.
We accept various forms of payment, including card and contactless payments. Many private medical insurance policies cover the fees for all or part of your treatment, although these policies typically do not cover the cost of orthoses. Please consult with your insurer prior to attending your appointment.
