Our Story
Our journey began in 2007 when our co-founders, Matt Ingram and Dan Cox, took over a small studio in Limehouse, East London. The studio, founded by legendary producer Gordon Raphael, was a humble space but had a rich history of producing notable recordings. Our co-founders' passion for music and their expertise in production and engineering soon made the studio a hub for London's musical talent.
As the years went by, our studio outgrew its humble beginnings, and we relocated to a larger premises in Hackney's creative district. This marked the beginning of a new era for Urchin Studios, with our co-founders continuing to produce, engineer, and mix recordings for some of the biggest names in the industry.
Our Studios
Our Hackney Wick recording complex comprises three fully equipped studios, each designed to suit the needs of a wide variety of musical activities. From writing and recording to production and mixing, our studios are equipped with high-end equipment and state-of-the-art technology. Our studios are available to hire by the day or by the hour, with or without a house engineer and/or assistant.
