Knellwood is an award-winning care home, providing excellent residential, respite and nursing care for up to 52 seniors. It is a non-profit making charity. The main building was originally a large Victorian country house, but in recent years it has been enlarged by the addition of two wings. It is set in a delightful garden with several acres of lawn and woodland. The Knellwood trustees and staff are committed to providing the very best individualised and person-centred care in a warm, homely environment, respecting everyone's right to privacy, dignity and personal choice. We provide quality short term respite care in addition to residential and 24-hour nursing care. We understand how daunting the prospect of a move to a care home can be to someone who has previously led a full and independent life. With this in mind, our aim is to ensure that everyone is cared for in a manner which promotes as much independence as possible with the appropriate support measures in place.
