Sawston Nursery is a purpose-built facility that provides high-quality childcare and pre-school education. Our nursery is designed with children's safety and security in mind. The nursery rooms are spacious, comfortably furnished, and well-equipped with toys, books, and learning resources. We have ample toilet and changing facilities throughout the building and provide for children with special needs. Our modern kitchen prepares cooked meals and snacks for the children, and staff benefit from a separate reception and administration area. The landscaped grounds include an enclosed outdoor play area with a safety surface.
Our Services
At Sawston Nursery, we offer high-quality care and education for children from 2 to 5 years old. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, which seeks to provide equality of opportunity and inclusive practice. Our dedicated team of qualified professionals ensures that every child is included and supported.
We strive to provide 'Learning through play' principles in line with Early Years Nursery Education. Our curriculum is designed to support children's learning and development during their time with us. We believe that play is an essential part of a child's development, and we provide opportunities for children to learn through play, both indoors and outdoors.
We understand that every child is unique and has individual needs. Therefore, we tailor our services to meet each child's needs and interests. We also work closely with parents and carers to ensure a smooth transition for the child.
Ofsted Inspection
In January 2024, Sawston Nursery was inspected by OFSTED (The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills). We are proud to have received an 'OUTSTANDING' rating in all categories, including quality of education, behaviours and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and overall effectiveness. This grading highlights the hard work, enthusiasm, and passion our staff have for providing high-quality childcare and education.
