Who We Are

Neptune Sailing is a charity-based sailing and powerboat training centre located on the River Orwell at Woolverstone, near Ipswich. With a large fleet of vessels, we offer a range of training and assessment services for both young people and adults. Our mission is to provide high-quality tuition, based on the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) national schemes.

Our Services

As a Recognised Training Centre for the RYA, we offer a variety of courses and training programs for individuals and groups. Our courses cater to all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced sailors and powerboaters. Our instructors are all RYA qualified and experienced in teaching sailing and powerboating skills.

Our courses include:

  • Junior Courses: Designed for young people aged 10 years and above, our junior courses focus on developing basic sailing skills, from beginner stage 1 to advanced skills stage 4.
  • Adult Courses: Our adult courses cater to individuals and groups, covering RYA sailing schemes to level 3 and powerboat level 1 and 2, as well as safety boat training.
  • Powerboat Courses: Our powerboat courses cover RYA powerboat level 1 and 2, as well as safety boat training.

Youth Groups

We also offer a range of youth groups for young people aged 10 years and above. Our groups are designed to cater to beginners, improvers, and advanced sailors, and are open to all young people.
