Neptune Sailing

Neptune Sailing has been delivering high-quality sailing and powerboat training since 2012, operating as a registered charity with Recognised Training Centre status from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA). Based on the River Orwell at Woolverstone near Ipswich, we provide structured RYA-certified courses for both youth and adults, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Our dedicated team of qualified instructors has over a decade of combined experience in water sports education, ensuring safe and progressive learning environments tailored to individual needs. We specialise in tidal water sailing instruction, offering access to a diverse fleet of dinghies and powerboats, including Wayfarers, Toppers, and RS Zests. Our youth programmes, running six evenings weekly during term time, have successfully trained over 100 young sailors since 2019, with flexible adult weekend courses accommodating busy schedules.

As an Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA)-approved provider, we maintain rigorous safety standards while promoting outdoor learning opportunities for schools and community groups. Our purpose-built facility features modern teaching spaces, changing facilities, and dedicated maintenance workshops. Through partnerships with local organisations like Royal Harwich Yacht Club and Woolverstone Project, we extend sailing opportunities to diverse communities, including those with disabilities. Our charitable mission focuses on making water sports accessible through subsidised rates, with youth group fees maintained at 12 per session to support family budgets.
