Newlands Home Bakery is a family-run business with five premises in the south of Glasgow, established in 1971. We pride ourselves in offering the highest quality bakery products at great prices. Our dedicated team of skilled bakers and shop assistants work tirelessly to ensure that every item leaving our factory is freshly baked to perfection.
Our Bakery Story
Established in 1971, our founder David Irvine opened his first bakery in Newlands, and as the business grew, he opened his second shop in Newton Mearns in 1982. Over the years, our wholesale customers expanded, and we relocated to larger premises in 1983. We then opened our bakery shops in Clarkston and Cathcart, and in 2020, we launched our new home delivery and click and collect service, which proved to be very popular. Today, we are proud to be celebrating 52 years in business, with brothers Alisdair Irvine and Stephen Irvine, 4th generation family members, running the family business.

We offer a wide range of artisan breads, signature cakes, handmade pastries, and delicious savouries, all made with the finest ingredients. Our products can be adapted to suit your taste and dietary requirements, including Kosher, Vegan, and Lactose Free options. We also provide a full celebration cake design and bake service, catering for all occasions. Our wholesale service offers a unique opportunity for businesses around Glasgow to supply their customers with our high-quality products. We supply to shops, bars, restaurants, hotels, and cafes around Glasgow, and would be delighted to provide samples for you to try.
