Cumberland Court is a small, family-run care home located in the conservation area of St Leonards on Sea, close to local shops and public transport. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and friendly atmosphere, with trained staff dedicated to delivering high-quality care to our residents. Our team is equipped to cater for long-term, short-term, and respite stays, and we have built strong relationships with local community health professionals.

Our home is a place where residents can feel safe, secure, and cared for, while enjoying a life enriched by pleasant surroundings, good food, strong bonds, and excellent care. Our Services

At Cumberland Court, we offer a variety of services tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents. Our rooms are available for single occupancy, most of them equipped with en-suite facilities, TV and phone points, and call bells. We ensure that rooms are regularly refurbished and have a passenger lift for easy access to all floors. We also have attractive and accessible gardens, a dining room, and a lounge on the ground floor.

Our team prepares fresh food on-site daily, catering to special diets and food preferences. We work closely with local authorities and have a strong reputation for providing excellent respite and emergency care, including weekends and bank holidays. We help local hospitals prevent unnecessary admissions, ultimately saving NHS money and promoting the wellbeing of vulnerable people.

Our Dedicated Staff

At Cumberland Court, we have a diverse team of staff who speak a total of eight languages, including English, Latvian, French, Hindi, Gujarat, Malayalam, Sinhalese, and Polish. Our champions lead various aspects of care, such as Dementia, Activities, Infection Control, Nutrition, Dignity, and First Aid. Our team is regulated by CQC and East Sussex Adult Social Care Service and is a member of the National Care Association and FSB.

Our Food

Food plays an essential role in the wellbeing of our residents, and we take pride in providing fresh and nutritious meals daily. Our two cooks consistently exceed residents' expectations with their delicious offerings. We offer a 7-day menu that caters to individual preferences and dietary requirements. Our food survey results regularly receive five stars from the Food Standards Agency, demonstrating our commitment to providing high-quality food.
