Bruce Shaw Property Consultants Limited is a distinguished firm of Chartered Building Surveyors, established in 2002 and based in Dalgety Bay, West Fife. Our Managing Director, Colin Bruce, brings over 40 years of experience in both the Public and Private sectors to the table. Our clients range from developers, investors, and solicitors to surveyors, contractors, industrial, commercial, and retail clients, as well as homeowners and residential factors. We are dedicated to assisting our clients in making informed decisions and providing measured responses to maximise their position.

People

Our team at Bruce Shaw is made up of experienced professionals who are dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our clients. Colin Bruce, our Managing Director, has a wealth of experience and expertise in the industry, having previously worked for Bell Ingram, Glasgow College of Building and Printing, Property Services Agency (PSA), Burnett & Company/Capita Group, and Haley Somerset Consulting. Colin established Bruce Shaw Property Consultants Limited in 2002 and has since chaired the RICS Scottish Dilapidations Steering Group between 2016 and 2018.

Services

As Chartered Building Surveyors, we offer a wide range of services, including building inspections, defects analysis, commercial lease issues advice, building and asbestos-related health & safety matters, reporting on construction defects, arranging for remedial works or building alterations and refurbishment works. We regularly act as expert witnesses, preparing reports and attending court when necessary.

In addition to our core services, we also provide advice on historic structures, as well as contemporary buildings, and offer a comprehensive dilapidations service, including schedules of condition and defect diagnosis.
