Restoring balance and alleviating pain, for a healthier you
Marlow Osteopathic Clinic, a reputable and esteemed osteopathy practice, was established in 1990 by Debbie Rogers. Initially located at Bridge Dental Surgery in Marlow, the clinic soon moved to The Doctors House, Marlow's only NHS doctors' surgery, in Victoria Road, Marlow. In 1993, Caroline Baker joined Debbie, and together they built a thriving osteopathic care centre, always prioritising their commitment to serving the local community. Their close collaboration with the medical team at the surgery allowed for seamless referrals and a comprehensive understanding of patient needs. This strong relationship continues to this day, thanks to our ongoing connection with the Marlow Medical Group.
Over the years, Marlow Osteopathic Clinic has expanded and evolved, eventually relocating to Taylor House in Marlow High Street, where we began offering evening and Saturday morning clinics. These extended hours cater to patients with demanding work schedules and lengthy commutes.
In early 2019, we were presented with the opportunity to join The Marlow Club, a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment. Here, we continue to grow our practice and collaborate with other musculoskeletal (MSK) practitioners, aiming to provide holistic care, including diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitative advice for MSK issues. Our integration into The Marlow Club allows us to offer an all-encompassing care programme tailored to our patients' needs.
Becoming part of The Marlow Club brings numerous benefits: easy access from the A404, ample free parking for patients and club members, disabled parking and access, ground floor and first floor treatment rooms, a comfortable lounge area, free WiFi, and the ability to introduce patients to other practitioners, therapists, and personal trainers.
At Marlow Osteopathic Clinic, we specialise in a traditional, mechanical form of osteopathy that incorporates soft tissue massage, articulation, and manipulation. We complement these techniques with rehabilitative exercises, lifestyle advice, dry needling techniques, ultrasound therapy, and kinesiology taping when required. We remain dedicated to providing a gentle, complementary, and structural approach to manual treatment that aligns with conventional medicine.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a gentle and effective system of manual treatment that helps the body restore itself to normal function and alleviate symptoms in the joints and soft tissues. We are best known for treating spinal pain, including back pain, neck pain, and related nerve pain such as sciatica. Our expertise extends to treating peripheral joints, whether the problems are sports-related or not, encompassing shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands, hips, knees, ankles, and feet.
Your First Visit
During your initial assessment at Marlow Osteopathic Clinic, we will take a thorough medical history, conduct a comprehensive examination, and establish a diagnosis for the issues you are experiencing. Based on this information, we will design a customised treatment plan tailored to your individual circumstances and condition. As part of our holistic approach, we provide lifestyle advice, discussing with our patients the ways they can improve their habits, whether that involves diet, exercise, or postural adjustments to prevent further problems from developing.
Who Can Benefit from Osteopathy?
Our treatments are suitable for people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Whether you are seeking assistance for sports-related injuries or general aches and pains, we are here to help. By improving your overall wellbeing and joint function, we strive to enhance your quality of life.
