Our History

Our studio was founded in 2007 by Philip and Kathryn Hurst, two experienced dance professionals with over 30 years of combined experience in the dance industry. With a passion for teaching and a wealth of knowledge, they have successfully built a reputation as one of the most reputable dance schools in the region.

Our Expertise

Philip and Kathryn are fully qualified dance teachers, members of the International Dance Teachers Association, Allied Dance Teachers Association, and United Kingdom Alliance, and elected members of the Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance and the Dramatic Arts. They have a proven track record of nurturing and developing the skills of students of all ages and abilities, with many of their students going on to achieve great successes in competitions and performances.

Our Facilities

Our state-of-the-art dance studio is located in Hindley, Wigan, and offers a spacious 4500sq ft ballroom, perfect for classes, socials, and events. We also host numerous events at the iconic Blackpool Tower and Winter Gardens, and have been proud to host over 120 sold-out events since 2010.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of dance classes for adults and children, from beginners to advanced levels, covering various dance styles, including ballroom, Latin, and sequence. Our classes are designed to cater to all ages, from 2 to 102, and abilities. We also provide private tuition, wedding dance lessons, and competitions for those who wish to take their dancing to the next level.

Competitions and Events

We are proud to have worked with many Strictly stars and have appeared on Strictly - It Takes Two. Our dance company has been featured on television and radio, including the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, Rock FM, Wish FM, and The One Show. We have also hosted numerous dance holidays and events around the world.
