Our Humble Beginnings

In 1981, Thomas Brown Engineering was established by our Managing Director, Tom Brown. With a vision to provide a better, more reliable subcontract precision machining service to UK industry, Tom set out to build a company that would become synonymous with precision engineering. Starting with a small team of engineers at his first workshop, Tom's commitment to excellence and continual improvement laid the foundation for the success that Thomas Brown Engineering enjoys today (Figure 1).

Continued Growth and Expansion

Over the years, Thomas Brown Engineering has experienced continued growth, expanding our team and investing in cutting-edge CNC machinery to keep up with the increasing demand for our services. In 1990, the company moved into its current premises at Oldfield Street, providing us with the space and resources necessary to meet our clients' needs (Figure 2).
