Our family-run business transitioned from wholesale to direct retail in the 1980s, opening a purpose-built shop in 2007 to better serve our community. We specialise in growing salad and vegetable plants from disease-resistant seeds, using a sustainable peat block system that minimises root disturbance. Our farm shop offers seasonal vegetables, fruits, cut flowers, homemade preserves, and locally sourced groceries, with over 70 years of combined staff experience ensuring knowledgeable service. We prioritise environmental responsibility through minimal pesticide use and low food mileage, harvesting produce at peak freshness for immediate sale.After John's passing in 2015, Sally, Steven, and Toni continued his legacy, maintaining our commitment to quality and community. We supply residential care homes and offer custom fruit baskets, supported by trusted local suppliers for items we don't grow ourselves. Our nursery provides compost varieties and seasonal bedding plants, with growing advice available through our planting calendar. We maintain free parking and disabled access, operating extended hours during summer months. What produce do you grow yourselves?
We grow over 30 varieties of salad and vegetable plants, plus seasonal vegetables including cabbages, cauliflowers, and leeks. Our homemade preserves use surplus produce.
Do you deliver locally?
Yes, we supply residential care homes in Suffolk and can arrange custom deliveries for large orders of fresh produce.
What are your opening hours?
Winter: Mon-Fri 8:30-17:00, Sat 8:30-16:00, Sun 10:00-15:00. Summer hours extend until 17:30 Mon-Sat and 16:00 Sundays.
