Transforming your outdoor space, one garden at a time

Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club is a not-for-profit organisation providing racquet sports and general fitness facilities for all. We are one of the most successful badminton and squash venues in the country and also provide gym and other sporting facilities. We have around 1,200 members drawn from the local community, and also provide facilities to many local schools and to disability groups. We have thriving junior sections in both squash and badminton and have nurtured many top-class players, including several current GB Olympic badminton prospects.

Our Services

At Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club, we offer a wide range of services to cater to the diverse needs of our members. Our squash facilities include five great quality courts, professional coaching, and men's, women's, and racketball teams. We also have internal leagues for members of all levels, with standards ranging from near beginner to team players. Our badminton facilities include professional coaching, disability sessions, and tournaments and events. We also offer table tennis, personal training, and sauna facilities as part of our gym and fitness services.

Gym and Fitness

Our gym and fitness facilities are designed to cater to the diverse fitness needs of our members. We offer a variety of classes, including yoga, Pilates, and cardio exercises. Our personal training services are designed to help members achieve their individual fitness goals. We also have a state-of-the-art sauna facility for members to relax and unwind.

The Bar

Our bar is open seven days a week and offers a wide range of drinks, including beers from local breweries, wine, and soft drinks. We also provide hot food at lunchtime and in the evenings. Our bar is available for functions and events, and we welcome enquiries from members and non-members alike.

Membership

We have a range of membership options to suit the diverse needs of our members. Our membership types include individual, joint, family, and student memberships. We also offer corporate membership options for local businesses. Our membership benefits include access to our racquet sports and gym facilities, discounts on coaching and classes, and priority booking for tournaments and events.

Our History

The Club has a rich history spanning many decades and has formed close bonds with the local community during this time. Built on its current site in 1936, the doors were officially opened on Tuesday 26th January 1937 by Lord Ebbisham, with an opening ceremony and exhibition matches in both squash and badminton. Over the years, we have continued to invest in our facilities, including the addition of a new gymnasium, dance studio, reception area, and shop in 1995. We re-branded and changed our name to Wimbledon Racquets and Fitness Club in 2000 and have continued to modernise our facilities to make us what we are today.
