LM Baverstock is an independent eyecare practice located in the charming market town of Milnthorpe, near Kendal, in the South Lakes area of Cumbria. The practice was established in 1978 by Alan and Linda Baverstock, who built a strong reputation for providing high-quality eye care. In 2006, Alan retired, and the practice was taken over by Simon and Louise Budd, both local optometrists who continue to uphold the practice's founding principles. Linda still works in the practice on a part-time basis.
At LM Baverstock, we believe in providing a high standard of eye care that is both professional and friendly. We take a holistic approach to eye care, looking beyond just issuing a pair of spectacles. We offer comprehensive eye examinations and contact lens examinations for both NHS and private patients. Our services go beyond just issuing a pair of spectacles. We offer a range of other services, including:
- OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) - a non-invasive imaging test that uses light waves to take cross-section pictures of your retina, the light-sensitive tissue lining the back of the eye.
- Intuitive Colorimetry - a method of identifying and alleviating visual stress by prescribing precision tinted lenses.
- Dry Eye Assessment - we assess the cause of your dry eye symptoms and provide appropriate treatment.
- Contact Lens & Comfort Specialist - we specialise in contact lenses, including multifocal and specialist lenses, and can help you find the most comfortable lens for your needs.
