Our History
Our story began in 1947 when two friends, Richard Hartley and Charles Foden, founded St Peter's Vets in Petersfield. Initially, the practice focused on treating horses and farm animals, but over the years, we shifted our focus to small animal practice, and eventually, we dedicated ourselves entirely to the treatment of small animals. Today, we have four surgeries accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, with a team of 19 veterinary surgeons, supported by nursing and reception teams, providing a 24-hour emergency service 365 days a year.

We offer a range of healthcare services, including pet acupuncture, laparoscopic spay, mobile vet services, nurse clinic consultations, and guidelines for castrating/spaying, pet travel, and puppy parties.
Our surgeries are fully equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, and laboratory facilities. We also have on-site facilities for laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy. Our Petersfield surgery has a dedicated night team, providing emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
