The Little Owl Pre-school

Our Values

We believe in the importance of creating a warm, welcoming, and well-resourced environment that fosters independence, creativity, and social skills. Our experienced and qualified staff team are dedicated to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2 to 5 years. We encourage our children to explore, discover, and learn through play, and we provide a wide range of activities and resources to support their development.

Our Facilities

Our pre-school is located at The Scout and Guide HQ, 163 Northcourt Avenue, Reading, RG2 7HG, and has a spacious and well-equipped indoor learning space, as well as a large and secure private garden area. Our outdoor, covered area allows children to play and learn in all weathers, and our indoor space is designed to encourage independence and creativity.

Our Team

Our team of experienced and dedicated staff are committed to providing excellent care and education for every child. Our Manager, Rachel Beilby, has extensive experience in early childhood education and is passionate about creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Our Deputy Manager, Akiko Tomono, is also a highly experienced and qualified practitioner who is dedicated to supporting the development of every child.

Our Committee

Our pre-school is run by a hard-working committee of parents and dedicated Early Years Practitioners. Our committee is made up of a diverse range of individuals who share a common goal of providing the best possible experience for our children. Our Chair, Ruth Eitel, is responsible for overseeing the overall direction and strategy of the pre-school, while our Treasurer, Mary Hudson, is responsible for managing our finances. Our Secretary, Sandeep Kaur, is in charge of our administrative tasks, and our Safeguarding Officer, Ruth Eitel, is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of every child.
